Job description

Our client, an EU Investment Firm, specializing in Prime Brokerage Services, is looking to recruit a highly motivated and results-oriented Director of Business Development to join their team in Limassol, Cyprus. They will be responsible for developing with clients, customers, and strategic partners. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the financial services industry and a strong understanding of marketing. Hybrid working.

Job Duties

1. Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals and expand market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships that align with the company's objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential areas for growth.

    2. Business Development:
  • Lead efforts to generate new business leads and contacts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, and strategic partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with external parties.

    3. Team Leadership:
  • Manage a team of business development professionals.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship to team members.
  • Set performance goals and track progress towards objectives.

    4. Revenue Generation:
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue streams.
  • Drive sales efforts and oversee the development of sales proposals and pitches.
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, product development) to align business development strategies with overall company objectives.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between teams.

6. Market Expansion:

  • Explore and enter new markets or territories.
  • Assess risks and opportunities associated with expansion initiatives.

    7. Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on business


Job Requirements

  • Many years of experience in business development or sales leadership roles in the forex industry
  • Experience in opening offices abroad is a must
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • EU-citizenship
