Merchant Support Assistant

Job description

The ideal candidate will provide support to existing and potential merchants, liaise with partners to resolve day-to-day requests and analyse merchant performance to identify key areas that require further attention. The merchant support assistant will be able to perform their duties in a timely manner, successfully meeting short and long term deadlines.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities:

• Handle all merchant requests and enquiries and payment related issues.
• Act as an intermediary between the providers and the merchants to resolve any issues raised.
• Assist the Reconciliation department in resolving any breaks and updating statuses for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
• Identity issues that merchants may have, assist in their dispute and provide sustainable solutions within a given timeframe.
• Monitor the performance of payment systems using our BI tool and provide recommendations that can improve customer service
• Contribute towards improving PSP stability both for our merchants and GA Tech as a whole.
• Assist in internal projects as may be required from time to time
• Create and update our Knowledge Base on a regular basis, which will be used both internally and by our merchants.

Job Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree - preferably in business, finance, or other related discipline - is an advantage
• Experience in the Financial/Forex industry - is an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of the English Language
• Great interpersonal and organisational skills
• A can-do attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work collaboratively in teams and on own initiative
• Problem-solving skills and a contagiously positive attitude
