Bar/Operations Manager (VAC-A21131M)

Job description

Our client, a bar in Limassol, is looking to employ a Bar/Operations Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, management and to provide efficient, prompt and courteous quality bar service.

Job Duties

• Responsible for the bar day-to-day operations and leading his/her team by example
• Serves bar guests their orders promptly and courteously
• Manages the bar
• Able to resolve conflicts in a most productive manner both with clients or with staff
• Maintains knowledge of bar inventory and wine selection
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of beverage recipes and mixing procedures
• Maintains responsibility for the set up and cleanliness of entire bar and adjoining lounge area and toilets at all times
• Arranges furniture in the bar area as needed
• Stocks and orders all supplies and glassware
• Displays beverage selection in an attractive manner
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of standard policies and procedures regarding cash handling, check-writing, credit cards
• Ensures that the lights and music are set to create nice and cosy atmosphere
• Having full knowledge of alcohol and liquor policies and regulations, and complies fully with them
• Maintains the bar reservation list, and checks the restaurant reservations list frequently during the shift
• Analyses budget, and takes action when required
• Trains and motivates his/ her team
• Ensures that bar cash is secure at all times
• Ensures all discrepancies in bar cash are declared to the accountant
• Maintains high confidentiality in regards to guest privacy
• Fully understands the bar's fire and emergency procedures
• Follows emergency procedures to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees
• Works in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others
• Maintains the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct

Job Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Minimum 10 years' experience out of which 3 years in a similar role as bar/Operations manager
• Experience in using social media and handling SEO (search engine optimization)
• Experience with events handling
• Excellent English skills
• Eu-citizen/work permit
