Operations Manager - Elderly Day Club (VAC-A446)

Job description

Our client is a start-up, with a new concept addressing an age-old social issue – how to keep the older generation active and healthy in today’s hectic world. The idea is to develop an adult day club where elders can walk in or through membership, can enjoy a social gathering, keep mentally and physically active and also have nutritious meals served throughout the day. The idea has evolved by identifying lessons learned from across the world and applying them for the first time, with a novel concept in Cyprus.

Job Duties

• Pro-active person with strong common sense, willing to take ownership of the project
• Belief and willing to help the community and give back to society by being a catalyst to improve the elders’ lives
• Project management skills – ability to liaise with local authorities, with architects, recruiting a team
• Manager and team player – ability to hire a core team that will realize the project and operate the day club once set up
• Confident personality – able to present the idea to potential investors to raise funds.

Job Requirements

Our client is seeking a dynamic individual who believes in the concept and the benefits to society of introducing such a concept to help elders live a more dignified life.

The candidate should be a pro-active person, with strong management and multi-disciplinary skills. As part of the early milestones, the successful candidate will work closely with the founder to identify a suitable location for the day club, either in Nicosia or Limassol, as well as identify any regulatory requirements of relevant authorities and finally assist in raising funds to ensure the successful realization of the project. The successful candidate will be considered as a co-founder, subject to successfully realizing the project together with the founder.
