Job description

Our client is a leading online trading provider and part of a group of companies with several entities worldwide. They are looking to onboard an COO for their offices in Dubai.

The UBO of the company is looking for a right-hand person to assist and manage the team, including sales and reporting. Oversees and improve all operational systems, processes and controls in order to support better the management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.

The ideal candidate will have experience with previous managerial experience within the FX industry. The role requires a candidate who will be dedicated and who will assist in the running of the operation as if they owned the company.


Job Duties

  • Develop and implement of the Company's strategy and business development
  • Ensure commitment to and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations across the organization
  • Responsible for setting and monitoring the criteria for evaluating third parties offering services to the Company
  • Build an effective team of leaders by providing guidance and coaching to subordinate managers
  • Review/Identify and improving internal processes, ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented & maintained
  • Manage the day-to-day Operations and lead Technical Support, Underwriting, Risk and Data teams
  • Responsible to coordinate and submit all Regulatory Reporting promptly
  • Responsible for board of director's meetings arrangements as well as for coordinating board communication on any further company's development.
  • Lead, manage and execute company's vision and strategy globally, you will be tasked to coordinate all other departments and ensure organizational readiness for go live (cross-functional Project Management in a Matrix environment).
  • Work with external legal advisors, as well as compliance consultants to achieve licenses and authorizations in multiple jurisdictions across the globe
  • Write and submit reports to the UBO in all matters of importance

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as Chief Operating Office or relevant managerial role
  • At least 5 years' experience managing a team - Underwriting, Compliance, Risk, Data Ops or Tech Support
  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, IT, etc.
  • Ability to act at pace, with control together with the ability to focus on the key risks and operational excellence across the breadth of the activities are crucial attributes of the ideal candidate.
  • Excellent English language oral and written communication skills, problem solving, including presentation skills and ability to communicate with leadership across business teams
  • History working for a Payment Solutions company and/or history working for a Start-up company are considered as a major advantage
