Corporate Legal Counsel

Job description

Our client, a Ukrainian group of companies with headquarters in Cyprus which carries out its activities in the countries of the EU and the UAE invites for cooperation Corporate Legal Counsel.

Job Duties

Responsibilities:

● Provide legal advice and support to the executive team, board of directors;

● Drafting, negotiating and vetting contracts, legal documents and agreements;

● Advise on contract negotiations, and business agreements to minimize legal exposure;

● Advise on matters related to corporate structure and taxes;

● Developing and implementing legal procedures and policies to ensure the company’s compliance with applicable laws;

● Business processes development and legal support of the company and its affiliates;

● Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external advisers, public authorities), creating relations of trust

Job Requirements

Requirements:

● Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience on Cyprus;

● Higher legal education;

● Deep understanding of various areas of law, such as corporate, employment, intellectual property, and contract law, to ensure compliance;

● Solid knowledge of the Cyprus Companies law, all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, GDPR;

● English at Upper Intermediate level and above. Fluency in Ukrainian or Russian;

● The ability to identify legal risk (even if little prior experience in the relevant area);

● Ability to gather information and analyse data;

● Manages multiple tasks concurrently and efficiently;

● Full-time employment in the office in Larnaca, Cyprus;

● Working day from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Mon.-Fri.;
