Connectivity Engineer (VAC-A21122N)

Job description

Our client is a global institutional trading network and the global leader in large block trading and they are looking for a Connectivity Engineer to join their small team which are tasked with the big responsibility of developing their connectivity software that is real-time, adaptive, resilient, and in tune to changes to the network.

The System is developed in Java and C++ and you will take ownership of the full software development cycle and join their core development team who is responsible for the Investment Analytics products and will be expected to lead various workstreams delivering to the Global business.

Job Duties

• Design, development, support and enhancement of client facing and outbound connectivity services.
• Contribute to the design and improvement of the automation testing framework
• Serve as third tier support for production issues.
• Effectively work with Product Support and Product teams
• Participate actively in process improvement projects.

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of software development experience within electronic trading or electronic trading system provider, preferably specializing in connectivity solutions.
• 2+ years of experience programming in Java and C++ on Linux platform.
• FIX Protocol familiarity preferred.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Test-writing or development experience using Python, or Java.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows-based servers.
• Flexibility to work with a variety of QA testing tools and languages and willingness to evaluate and experiment with new tools when needed in projects.
• Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
