Cyprus Branch of a large International Company based in Nicosia is currently looking for a junior Accountant.

Job Duties

Key Duties / Responsibilities: Assistance to senior accountants in the following business processes:

• Bookkeeping: recording transactions in accounting software on a monthly basis, preparation of Balance Sheet and Statement of profit or loss

• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, filed and reported

• Reconciling the accounts (monthly, quarterly or on a yearly basis)

• Preparation of Financial Statements (IFRS)

• Assisting in the preparation of statutory and corporate accounts

• Issuing internal periodical reports

• Liaison with the external auditors and headquarters

• Perform other similar duties as may be required by the Employer

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in accounting, economics, finance or any other related field

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (complete F1-F9 ACCA would be an advantage)

• High degree of accuracy and ability to deal with confidential matters professionally

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent computer skills

• Fluency in English (Russian would be an advantage)
