Accountant

Job description

We are looking for motivated professionals who share our passion for learning new things and working on challenging projects, utilizing a diverse set of skills and personal attributes. Working as a member of a small team on sector-agnostic projects, you will be managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.

Responsibilities include bookkeeping, reconciling bank statements and calculating VAT tax payments and returns. Ultimately, you must understand the company’s business, customers and vendors and establish and maintain relationships through a professional and friendly attitude. You will be providing management with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our businesses, while ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience of a minimum of 2 years with bookkeeping and to be keen to learn and have an eye for detail.

Job Duties

•  Manage all accounting transactions
•  Prepare budget forecasts
•  Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
•  Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
•  Prepare balance sheets and profit/loss statements
•  Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
•  Audit financial transactions and documents
•  Comply with financial policies and regulations

Job Requirements

•  Work experience as an accountant
•  Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
•  Hands-on experience with accounting software like Zero and QuickBooks
•  Advanced MS Excel skills
•  Experience with general ledger functions
•  Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
•  BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree is a plus
•  Additional certification (ACCA or ACT) is a plus
