Job description

Our client is a Global Top 20 Broker and offers a Multi-Asset Investment Platform, with offices around the world. Their strategic growth will see them moving into the Top 5 within the next 2 – 3 years. They are looking to onboard a CEO who will be overseeing their Malaysian offices.

Candidates with very senior C-level executive /CEO experience within the Forex industry will be considered. 

About the company:

The client currently has 10 – 12 global licenses covering various jurisdictions and the Asia markets, falling under the ASIC license. 

Job Duties

The successful CEO will be responsible for Malaysia offices (approx. 100 staff) which is responsible for their Asian markets including Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong

The candidates can be based in Cyprus but will need to spend 2 – 3 months away at a time (60% time in Malaysia and 40% in Istanbul) or they can relocate to Malaysia covered by the company

The CEO needs to be a very senior C level executive with CEO experience and if they have experience in the Asian markets even better.

The role will be responsible for their Malaysia Hub and report to the CEO/Chairman of the group in Istanbul

The ideal candidate would have previously worked for one of the bigger international brokers with C level experience and who can bring this experience and develop the company into one of the top 5 brokers in the next few years.

This person will have excellent operational experience both in marketing and sales as he/she will lead the sales and operational teams, so less focus would be on someone coming from the Compliance background but more from sales/market development experience with CEO/General Manager/COO experience

The ideal candidate would be someone that is growth-minded with a view on developing the business and thereby growing his/her value and overall earnings.

Job description

• Directly manage the country heads of the businesses in the region of responsibility
• Direction and control of all commercial and operational aspects of the regions.
• Managing the region commercially and operationally to maximise profitability whist ensuring quality, performance improvement
• Development of budgets and strategies to achieve the growth plans
• Development of organisational arrangements, systems and processes to enable the efficient and effective deployment of resources in line with and supporting the development
• Developing annual operating plan and financial budgets and Implementation of approved budgets and plans
• Implementation of group policies and procedures throughout the business
• Management control and support of the individual Business Units to ensure profit margins are achieved
• Development and motivation of the branch teams, fostering a high level of co-operation with other senior managers
• Development and achievement of collective goals (including regional goals) with fellow senior managers and regional support functions

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree
• 10+ years of experience in forex/banking/brokerage industry at manager / director level
• Experience in building and managing FX focused brokerage businesses
• Good understanding of brokerage, trading, FX, risk management, online marketing and sales management
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Experience and understanding of different types of CRM and trading systems
• Ability to function under pressure and in a multi-cultural environment
• Good command of Microsoft "office" especially “Excel”
