POSITION SUMMARY:

The Coordinator, Health & Safety assists in the planning, co-ordination and implementation of all aspects of the company’s Health & Safety policy. Furthermore, assists with the readiness of all health and safety systems as part of the property services team. The position is located in Limassol Limassol and will travel to other locations such as Ayia Napa, Paphos and Nicosia when needed.

Job Duties

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists the H&S officer to ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health
  • Assists the H&S officer to ensure that company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting
  • Assists in the documentation of all accidents and the investigation of them
  • Administers all safety inspections and correctly reports fire drills and fire alarms
  • Administers the co-ordination and the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures
  • Assists in the maintenance of accurate H&S and training records
  • Documents all H&S inspections, audits and checks
  • Assists in the establishment of a structured program of health & safety training throughout the Company
  • Manages and devises the agenda for H&S trainings, formulates & distributes minutes for the H&S Committee meetings
  • Ensures that all agreed action points are completed within deadlines and assists H&S officer to meet up the deadlines
  • Participates in monthly meetings when required to report on relevant health & safety matters
  • Liaises with suppliers i.e. Insurers, solicitors etc.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Reports accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to superiors and relevant government departments
  • Performs other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors from time to time


Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • 1 - 2 years of experience in a similar capacity
  • Education:
  • Diploma in Electrical, Building Services, Mechanical or other rated disciplines, or equivalent professional training
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Health & Safety or any other related field
  • Candidates without related certificates but with solid experience will also be considered


Skills/Competencies:

  • Relevant H&S certification is advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal/presentation skills are required to deal effectively with all levels of staffs, contractors, suppliers and vendors;
  • Hands-on and possess good problem-solving skills and attend to details
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent command of English and Greek with business writing skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
