Accountant (VAC-A770)

Job description

Our client is an investment firm, authorised and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC ). Their vision is to become one of the leaders in the market. The company is rapidly expanding, looking for professionals to join their team at their Head Office in Nicosia, and seeking to recruit an Accountant (Immediate Starter)

Job Duties

• Manage the financial systems and budgets.
• Analyze and monitor internal and external payments.
• Analyze and monitor financial reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
• Ensure that financial reporting deadlines are met including CySEC reports
• Develop and maintain financial databases.
• Conduct due diligence on payment service providers and financial institutions.
• Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and dealing with any financial irregularities as they arise.
• Liaise with local authorities (e.g. Social Insurance, VAT, tax authorities).
• Perform any other relevant duties that may be required from time to time.
• Monitor and Control cash-flow, preparation of expenses and budget forecasts
• Manage and ensure accounts segregations of “A-Book” and “B-Book”

Job Requirements

• University/College degree in Accounting.
• Preferably to have minimum 2 years experience in the financial sector
• Holder or nearly qualified in ACA/ACCA.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, any other language will be considered an advantage.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Previous experience in Financial sector/CIF to be considered as advantage
• Accounting software as NetSuite
• Well organized, ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks
