Experienced Florist / Flower Designer

Job description

Due to it's rapidly growing needs, the Flower Boutique is looking for an experienced florist / floral designer that he/she will be able to convey emotion and tone through flowers bringing a genuine love of the art to the table.

As a florist, your primary responsibilities will include the creation and design of innovative floral bouquets, arrangements, floral decor, and installations.

Job Duties

• Design and create unique floral bouquets and arrangements for all occasions
• Delight customers with appealing products
• Recommend products when appropriate
• Directs all functions and activities of the Floral Department
• Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness and date control
• Increasing customer confidence and loyalty
• Customer Service
• Create a fresh and friendly atmosphere in our store

Job Requirements

• Creativity, balance, and harmony are essential
• Demonstrate experience as a florist (minimum 6 months experience in retail floral design)
• Completion of any Botany and/or Floristry related course or certifications is highly advantageous
• Knowledge of flower handling techniques
• Knowledge of plants and flowers
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work on your own as well as a part of a team
• Perform under pressure
• Problem Solving skills
• Decision Making skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Self – motivation
• Ability to work on holidays, weekends/overtime occasionally

Languages:

• Greek is essential
• Good knowledge of English (must feel Confident when selling in English)
• Russian language will be considered an advantage
