Russian-speaking Accountant (VAC-A1228)

Job description

Our client is an international group of companies with activities within the Travel & Tourism sector with offices in Cyprus, UK, Germany and the US, and they are currently looking to recruit a Russian-speaking Accountant for their office in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Job Duties

• Daily bookkeeping in the accounting system
• Preparation of quarterly VAT Return
• Prepare quarterly management accounts
• Managing and maintaining the Company’s fixed assets register.
• Reconciliation of receivables/payables/loans and banks
• Assist in gathering information and coordination of the audits
• Update financial data, document and file accounting transactions in an organized manner
• Control over source documentation for companies registered locally and abroad
• Perform any other accounting duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• In possession of a Financial Diploma, currently studying for an ACCA (min 9 subject passed) or a holder of a Degree in an Accounting related subject.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience will be highly desirable.
• Computer literate especially in the use of MS Office, and previous experience with accounting software. Knowledgeable in accounting and bookkeeping principles.
• Organized and self-motivated person who is willing to learn and grow professionally. A strong team player who can effectively interface with various departments.
• A responsible individual who can work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent knowledge of Russian and English languages is required
• Experience with Dynamics Business Central Accounting Software or similar will be considered an advantage

Working hours:

Monday to Friday from 9am - 6pm.
