Job description

Our client is a well-established Fin-Tech company with offices in Limassol. They develop advanced trading platforms, CRM systems, high-load web services and advertising management system. They are current looking for a Legal Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will ideally have at least 3 years of experience as a Corporate Lawyer, and hands-on experience in the preparation of contracts, legal documents. This is a great opportunity for an experienced legal professional to join a dynamic software business environment.

Job Duties

  • Provide legal support, advice and expertise to the management of the Company
  • Prepare and followup on claims against companies and Internet Service Providers for website or website material takedowns
  • Apply online research and seek all possible solutions for combating online copyright violations, piracy and other online crimes
  • Draft contracts and agreements as well as legal documents (letters of mutual understanding, affidavits, letters of intent, terminations, etc.)
  • Prepare legal opinions on business transactions and agreements
  • Develop internal documents for the company
  • Cooperate with accounts department and assist in any KYC or legal aspects of the business that is required
  • Assist in the review of documents to ensure that they comply with rules and legal requirements
  • Liaise with the Group’s administrators, agents, external lawyers
  • Report to the Head of Cyprus Office and the Management of the Company

Job Requirements

  • University Degree in Law, preferably from a UK University
  • Member of the Cyprus Bar Association will be considered an advantage
  • Experience with Intellectual property rights and/or software business will be considered an advantage
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Corporate Lawyer
  • Hands-on experience in the preparation of contracts, legal documents
  • Very good knowledge of International Law, EU, British and Cyprus Law
  • Good Knowledge of AML, EU Directives, Corporate Governance
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Very good time management and organisation skills
  • Integrity and high level of responsibility
  • Proficiency in a legal system (e.g. Lexis-Nexis, EUR-Lex, or e-Justice)
  • Good knowledge of Greek and English. Knowledge of Russian will be considered an advantage
