Job Description

Quality Assurance Lead

Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for training, mentoring and leading a group of software testers to ensure that all the software components and applications meet or exceed the highest quality industry standards. You will act as the go-to technical resource for test tool related impediments for the team and lead the design and implementation of both manual and automated test plans, whenever possible leveraging test automation. You will always represent the customer's voice when it comes to the high-quality expectation that our customers entrust in us.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Train, mentor and lead a group of software testers.

Assign test plans and test cases to testers; plan and schedule resources; orchestrate test activities.

Ensure test objectives set by management are clearly understood by the testers. Create task breakdowns and progress reports.

Provide daily progress updates to management. Communicate test results and participate in defect triage meetings.

Act as the go-to technical resource for test tool related impediments for the team.

Ensure quality standards for a given software product release have been identified and met not only from a technical perspective; but also from a customer's perspective.

Review test plans and test cases; identify gaps; update test cases.

Working with our ruby partner technology team, groom and update test plans and test cases as needed.

Execute manual tests; run automated tests; and record detailed observations / test results.

Follow the company test automation standards: identify gaps in the automated regression test suite; develop new / update and test the test scripts using Java and Selenium.

Ensure all defects are logged and documented according to the company's Engineering standards in a bug tracking system.

Investigate and troubleshoot customer reported issues, escalated by customer support when needed

Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems

Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality

REQUIREMENTS

3+ years related QA Analyst experience in manual software testing is a must

2+ years in a QA Lead or related Lead position with a super reliable and customer centric attitudeĀ 

Previous experience in test automation using Java and Selenium preferred.

Understanding of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and Test Automation in a cloud-based environment.

Previous experience in working with GIT in a collaborative coding environment.

Experience in working with a distributed test team.

Hands on experience with the industry leading test management and testing tools.

Experience with Agile development/testing processes.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proven analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
