Job Description

Our client is a Software Development and Marketing Company in Limassol, which is building online casino games, is looking for a Payments Specialist who will help the company to find new payment providers, negotiate rates with current one and who knows current trends. This is a great opportunity to grow with the company.


Research, analyse and present new payment solutions to the company according to the current business needs and growth strategy

Conduct negotiations of rates and terms of contract with new processors

Advise on optimising the routing of payments transactions

Help drive the overall business and profit margins from a payments perspective

Ensure the attractiveness of current payments product, considering the feedback of Heads of Operations

Assist CTO with setting up priorities for integration

Evaluate the attractiveness of the new payment methods, considering among others, proposed rates and rolling reserve conditions

Ensure the contract details match with negotiated terms

Research and negotiate account openings and terms with banks

Together with Finance Team, assess the impact of launching new payment method on cash flow

Independently evaluate the current needs for credit card, bank and alternative payment methods; bring them to the internal discussions with relevant stakeholders

Prioritise needs for the solutions in line with business needs and planned expansion

Advise on global payments strategy, to ensure no-downtime payments system is in place

With help of Fraud and Payments team, monitor performance and acceptance ratio of newly implemented solutions

Actively work on optimising the performance of existing payments solutions and re-negotiate terms with partners if necessary

Together with Finance Team, participate in offboarding of payment solution and ensure contractual obligations have been met

Maintain documentation of payment methods to ensure that the organisation can be up to date and trained on all PSPs

Actively participate internal projects of business development, under guidance of Head of Fraud and Payments

Prepare regular reports on the performance of payments solutions, research and progress with internal payments projects (business development)

Min. 2 years of proven experience in a similar role in a multinational online business

Min. 1 year of proven experience in a relevant role in a high risk industry (ex. iGaming, Forex)

Excellent negotiation skills

Excellent communication and problem solving skills

Excellent command of English language (orally and in writing); additional European languages are a plus 

Experience in B2B sector, with focus on building and managing relationships

Excellent understanding of payments systems (aggregators, gateways, routing, acceptance ratio, tokenization, chargeback, etc.)

Knowledge of pricing models (IC++, MDR, rolling reserve, etc,) MUST

Sound knowledge of industry standards (PCI DSS, PSD2, SCA, 3DSv.2, etc.) MUST

Familiarity with current trends in online payments, with focus on card and alternative payment methods MUST

Ability to work with large amount of data and use it in a decision-making processes

Experience with building and analyzing complex reports

Ability to determine and work with priorities

Ability to work under pressure, in fast paced environment

Great flexibility and adaptability



Experience in Business Development

Experience in Project Management within Payments industry

Experience in working in startup environment

Proficient user of GSuite.

The working hours are Monday to Friday from 10am - 7pm
