Job Description - Restaurant Manager

We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to lead all aspects of our business. You will deliver high-quality service and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service.

Restaurant Manager responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need management skills and experience in all aspects of the business.You must know how to oversee the dining area, check-in with customers and balance seating capacity. Kitchen management experience is also essential, as you’ll set work schedules, oversee food preparation and make sure we comply with health and safety restaurant regulations.

We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and customers have a pleasant dining experience.

Job Role

  • To direct, control and plan all restaurant related activities throughout the restaurant

  • Provide direction, inspiration and guidance to team members

  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction

  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints

  • To supervise and lead the business, in order to meet the required standards and exceed all customer expectations

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily smooth and organized running of all restaurant operations and service

  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints

  • Achieve financial goals in revenue, expenses and profits 

  • Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it

  • Delegate duties and tasks to staff to meet objectives and maximize resources

  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses

  • Maintain excellent communication with all staff and other departments to ensure a supporting team of professionals

  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations

  • Promote teamwork and encourage a harmonious working environment

  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity

  • Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events

  • Stay updated with the international F&B trends and make appropriate suggestions to the Management/Owners

  • Comply with all Health and Safety rules and regulations

  • Comply and communicate company policies, standards and procedures to staff and ensure that they are implemented

  • Ensure duties are carried out in an honest and ethical way by abiding the Management’s guidelines and regulations and the Cyprus Law

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Management/Owners Requirements

Required Qualifications


  • At least 2 years previous experience as a Restaurant Manager

  • Proven customer service experience as a Manager

  • Extensive F&B knowledge with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff

  • Familiarity with restaurant management software

  • Fluent English and Greek, any other language will be considered an advantage

  • Excellent leadership, motivational and interpersonal skills in handling staff relations

  • Computer literate

  • To be able to work in a fast pace environment and cope under pressure

  • Business awareness for achieving successful performance

  • The ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Able to identify problems and facilitate the problem-solving process in the work environment

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Greek

  • BSc Degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts or Bar related courses, will be considered as an advantage
